Meløe/ Engebretsen

Meløe/Engebretsen consists of dance artists Marit Meløe and Anders Engebretsen.

From their base in Oslo, the dynamic duo creates inquisitive and charming performances for public spaces. Marit and Anders are inspired by people, city structures and natural landscapes, and their work builds upon playful and inquisitive approaches to dance and movement. Together, they create experiences where dance serves as a vehicle for new perspectives and connections between humans and their surroundings.

Both Marit and Anders have their dance training from England, and have worked internationally across Europe. They have been collaborating as duo since 2020, creating two productions: Alternative Landscapes (2020-2023) and Koreografi for åpne rom (2024). In 2025 they creatied their third work, CAR BODY, which premiered in Oslo in September 2025.

Their work has been presented in collaboration with venues and festivals including RAS (Sandnes, NO), Bærum Kulturhus/Dans Sørøst-Norge (Sandvika, NO), Nordic Culture Point (Helsinki, FI), Northern Lights Festival (Tromsø, NO), Kapittelfestivalen (Stavanger, NO), Trondheim Fringe (NO), In2it international dance festival (Kristiansund, NO), among others. Their work has received funding from Norwegian Arts Council (Kulturrådet), Fund for Performing Artists (FFUK), Oslo kommune, Rogaland Fylkeskommune, Forum for Nordnorske Dansekunstnere, and others.
